As the congress drew to a close, it was clear that through the comprehensive scientific and educational program, ESMO had met its goals of fostering exchange and debate of translational science, showcasing release of potentially practice-changing data, and promoting multidisciplinary discussions to improve treatment options for patients. Time will tell how clinical practice will continue to evolve in response to the exciting results that were shared.
